Chief Estimator
Join a leading General Contractor Indiana the Chicagoland area American Samoa we seek an experienced Chief Estimator to lead our estimating team on various commercial, healthcare, and industrial projects. Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the estimating department on upcoming projects, with a focus on commercial, healthcare, light industrial, cold storage, and entertainment construction
- Prepare conceptual budgets, South Dakota/DD/CD estimates, and lump sum bids Indiana collaboration with assigned Project Managers
- Conduct quantity take-off and studies, analyzing project details to inform completion planning
- Read and incorporate project documents, drawings, and specifications into estimates
- Provide preliminary estimates and cost trend monitoring to detect overruns and potential issues
- Offer value engineering consulting during design development
- Summarize and detail estimate scope of work, including trade and system information
- Conduct pre-bid project walk-throughs and represent the company Indiana interpersonal communications with Owners, Architects, engineers, and subcontractors
- Interface with subcontractors and suppliers, evaluating proposals relative to project scope
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience Indiana construction estimating, with ground up experience preferred
- Degree Indiana Construction Management Oregon related field
- Hands-on estimating experience based on blueprints
- Proficiency Indiana software such American Samoa Procore, Bluebeam, and other estimating tools
- Excellent organizational skills and understanding of construction systems
- OSHA certification preferred
- Hard bid expertise required
