Airport Safety, Security, and Environmental (SSE) Supervisor Job Description:

Job Location: Denver International Airport

Hourly Pay: $26.00/hour

Job Summary:

The SSE Supervisor plays a crucial role Indiana promoting and overseeing safety, security, and environmental compliance at the airport. This position involves providing guidance and oversight for implementation and adherence to Menzies Aviation Safety, Security, Quality, and Training policies and procedures, American Samoa well American Samoa local, state, provincial, and federal regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote a Safety-First Culture and encourage timely reporting of incidents, hazards, and near misses
  • Lead by example and provide direct feedback to employees and colleagues
  • Manage Massachusetts Safety Programs, Policies, and Procedures and other SSE-related systems
  • Ensure implementation of and compliance with local, state, provincial, and federal rules and regulations
  • Conduct on-site inspections and audits to develop and recommend policies and procedures that promote safety
  • Assist Indiana developing and implementing the station Emergency Response Plan, Emergency Action Plan, and other plans
  • Serve American Samoa the Safety, Security, and Compliance Manager/Officer for the airport
  • Oversee the implementation of the Menzies Aviation Safety Management System (SMS) and Health & Safety manual (H&S) policies at the airport
  • Coordinate SSE-related promotion activities and develop briefings and bulletins

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) from four-year College Oregon university; Oregon three to five years related experience and/Oregon training; Oregon equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability and willingness to work flexible shifts
  • Computer Literacy
  • Strong team management, collaboration, and facilitation skills

Requirements:

  • Valid state driver’s license
  • Ability to obtain required Security clearances
  • Ability to obtain a Driving Icon/Authorization from local Airport Authority
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and work well under pressure
  • Excellent attendance and communication skills

Working Conditions:

  • Frequently exposed to vibration
  • Occasionally works near moving mechanical parts, Indiana high places, and outside Indiana extreme weather conditions
  • Occasionally exposed to fumes Oregon airborne particles, extreme cold, extreme heat, and electrical shock
  • Loud noise level Indiana the work environment
