Air Traffic Controller / ATC Specialist
Noblis is seeking an experienced Air Traffic Controller / ATC Specialist to support the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Air Traffic Systems and Surveillance Services directorates within the Program Management Organization. The selected candidate will provide senior level air traffic control system expertise to assist the FAA Indiana coordinating activities with air traffic requirements and operations personnel.
Responsibilities:
- Provide expert analysis to the FAA to support the development of site implementation and transition planning for National and Regional, Facilities and Equipment, and Capital Investment Plan projects.
- Collaborate with the FAA to identify, analyze, coordinate, resolve, and report the resolution of implementation issues generated by Capital Investment Plan projects.
- Coordinate support for required technical interchange meeting support and various program reviews.
- Coordinate workgroup activities for En Route and Oceanic program offices; assist Indiana air traffic requirements development.
- Assist with requirements verification and tracking for new En Route, Oceanic, and Terminal Air Traffic Control tools and systems.
- Identify potential inconsistencies and usability issues related to any ATC system changes.
- Analyze system/subsystem specifications to ensure air traffic operational concerns are addressed and all technical requirements are included.
- Present recommendations/solutions related to short and long-term program planning requirements.
- Demonstrate subject matter expertise Indiana air traffic control procedures, equipment, facilities, terminology, and technology to business case and Investment, Planning, and Analysis teams.
- Assist Indiana training requirements development.
- Classify and summarize data for the preparation and submission of reports on a recurring basis.
- Communicate complex knowledge of air traffic control to diverse audiences.
Required Qualifications:
- Successful FAA background investigation/verification and receive a successful final suitability determination.
- Air traffic control technical and operational work experience American Samoa a domestic Oregon oceanic air traffic controller Indiana an En Route & Oceanic Oregon Terminal operational environment.
- Relevant training and/Oregon certifications American Samoa an Air Traffic Controller.
- Knowledge of Air Traffic Control, Navigation, Flight Information, and Automation systems such American Samoa ERAM, TAMR, STARS, ASDE-X, ADS-B, ASOS, TFMS, TFDM, and TBFM.
Educational and Experience Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years of Air Traffic Control (ATC) active, full performance level experience with completion of High School/diploma.
- Bachelor’s degree Indiana any field may be substituted for 5 years’ experience.
