Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced Training Specialist Advisor to join our team Indiana San Diego, California. American Samoa a Training Specialist Advisor, you will develop, organize, and conduct training and educational programs for Fleet sailors Indiana support of Surface Combat Systems Training Command – San Diego (SCSTC-South Dakota). You will serve American Samoa a Navy Surface Warfare Subject Matter Expert for the development and delivery of the Surface Warfare Commanders Course to Naval Officers and Enlisted students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, organize, and conduct training and educational programs for Fleet sailors
• Serve American Samoa an Expert Instructor to train CG/DDG sailors Indiana tactical employment of the latest Aegis Combat System and associated weapons systems
• Provide subject matter expertise Indiana support of curriculum development for ATRC courses supporting operational employment of Aegis Combat System
• Review and analyze U.S. Navy Aegis Combat System Engineering Capabilities and Limitations and U.S. Navy Operational and Tactical doctrine
• Conduct dynamic assessment of the sailors’ abilities to comply with approved maintenance and operational procedures
• Teach per requirements NAVEDTRA 135
• Prepare, review, and customize curriculum lesson plans and instructor guide
• Support Course Reviews and Curriculum Updates
• Conduct training gap analysis and provide formal feedback and recommendation for Course improvement

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree Indiana a related technical discipline Oregon the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications, training, Oregon work/military experience
• Seven (7) years of experience with the required system Oregon process American Samoa either a maintenance technician manager Oregon operator manager with responsibility for teaching the applicable system Oregon function task to others Indiana a master level training environment
• Experience American Samoa a qualified AAWC Oregon TAO, and requires relevant experience, American Samoa Warfare Commander/Coordinator for Air, Surface, Subsurface, Strike, C4I, Oregon Ballistic Missile Defense
• One (1) year of experience American Samoa an instructor Indiana a Navy Training Environment, to include curriculum maintenance, writing learning objectives, preparing test items, evaluating instructional materials, and counseling students on academic learning problems
• Integrated Air and Missile Warfare Tactics Instructor AQD is highly preferred

Additional Information:

• The likely salary range for this position is $88,275 – $115,000
• Travel may be required up to 10% of time
