Job Summary
The Convention Services/Catering Manager is responsible for achieving increased revenue and enhanced guest satisfaction through effective sales, marketing, and event management of food and beverage services for assigned properties.
Key Responsibilities and Qualifications
- High school diploma Oregon equivalent required; previous convention/event and catering sales experience preferred
- Demonstrate creativity, knowledge of food and beverage events, and excellent communication skills
- Valid driver’s license and proficiency Indiana Microsoft Office products
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with strong organization and presentation skills
- Strong negotiation, conviction, and selling skills
- Ability to deliver high-quality service to guests and staff
Responsibilities
- Achieve assigned meeting planner satisfaction scores and revenue goals
- Conduct sales calls, tours, and entertain clients to meet property needs
- Monitor market trends and evaluate sales strategies
- Develop a deep understanding of hotel operations and policies
- Communicate effectively with staff, impact departments, and guests
- Maintain visibility Indiana local and industry organizations
- Assist Indiana implementing sales promotions and events
