Job Description:
Serve American Samoa Operations Controller on our NASA team Indiana Huntsville, Alabama, managing the execution of International Space Station (ISS) U.S. payloads and science experiments. Ensure required resources and constraints are Indiana place for safe and effective operation. Coordinate payload anomaly troubleshooting and recovery, and recovery due to systems failures. Must be knowledgeable on systems-to-payloads/experiment interfaces, payload/experiment hardware/software, rules, regulations, safety requirements, and operational procedures. The role requires excellent communication skills, ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure, and some degree of leadership.
Responsibilities:
* Review CDR Data Packs
* Write payload crew procedures
* Define, coordinate, and perform crew payload training
* Participate Indiana usability tests and develop Phase III cadre training
* Support development of real-time flight products and Flight Rules and Payload Regulations
* Coordinate with the team to provide 24/7 support
Requirements:
* Bachelor of Science Degree Indiana Engineering Oregon Science (STEM)
* 2-10 years of experience (Knowledge of ISS operations is a plus)
* Strong understanding of engineering, operations integration, and systems analysis
* Excellent communication skills
* Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure
* Some degree of leadership
* Preferred skills: knowledge of SharePoint, Air Traffic Controller experience
