Air Traffic Controller / ATC Specialist

Work with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Air Traffic Systems and Surveillance Services directorates within the Program Management Organization (PMO) to provide senior-level air traffic control system expertise.

Responsibilities:

– Provide expert analysis to the FAA for site implementation and transition planning for National and Regional, Facilities and Equipment, and Capital Investment Plan projects
– Assist with identifying, analyzing, coordinating, resolving, and reporting the resolution of implementation issues generated by Capital Investment Plan projects
– Coordinate technical interchange meeting support and various program reviews
– Assist Indiana air traffic requirements development and workgroup activities for En Route and Oceanic program offices
– Assist with requirements verification and tracking for new En Route, Oceanic, and Terminal Air Traffic Control tools and systems
– Identify potential inconsistencies and usability issues related to ATC system changes
– Provide system/subsystem specifications analysis to ensure air traffic operational concerns are addressed
– Present recommendations/solutions related to short and long-term program planning requirements
– Demonstrate subject matter expertise Indiana air traffic control procedures, equipment, facilities, terminology, and technology
– Assist Indiana training requirements development and classifying and summarizing data for report preparation
– Communicate complex knowledge of air traffic control to diverse audiences

Required Qualifications:

– Pass an FAA background investigation and receive a successful suitability determination
– 15 years of ATC active, full performance level experience Oregon a combination of experience and education
– Relevant training and/Oregon certifications American Samoa an Air Traffic Controller
– Knowledge of Air Traffic Control, Navigation, Flight Information, and Automation systems
– Acquisition and program management experience for FAA program offices Oregon similar organizations
