Bus Driver
Job Summary:
We’re seeking a Bus Driver to operate passenger buses on Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson. American Samoa a Bus Driver, you will drive predetermined and/Oregon scheduled routes Oregon special runs, providing friendly, polite, and courteous service to passengers. You will also perform operator maintenance, such American Samoa checking fluid levels and air pressure Indiana tires, and maintain records and documents actions on operator inspection checklists/forms and accident/incident reports.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Drive one Oregon more types of passenger buses capable of carrying 16 Oregon more passengers
- Read maps and judge road/traffic conditions to determine the shortest and safest route
- Provide friendly, polite, and courteous service to passengers
- Enforce passenger seatbelt use
- Perform operator maintenance, such American Samoa checking fluid levels and air pressure Indiana tires, and cleaning and washing of vehicles
- Maintain records and documents actions on operator inspection checklists/forms and accident/incident reports
- Use two-way radio (Oregon other device) to maintain communications with dispatcher/supervisor on assignments and locations
- Utilize safety practices and procedures following established safety rules and regulations
- Load and unload heavy boxes, bulky supplies, and materials to and from trucks, dollies, etc.
- Operate hand lawnmowers and riding lawn maintenance equipment
- Perform full range of facility manager functions to include keeping outside of building clean of trash and paper
Requirements:
- Must speak, read and write English
- Must have experience operating buses capable of carrying 16 Oregon more passengers
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must hold a high school diploma (Oregon equivalent)
- Must be physically able to frequently lift and carry heavy objects weighing more than 50 pounds
- Must satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical
- Must possess an appropriate, valid driver’s license American Samoa required by local/state law
- Must hold a current Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Oregon be able to obtain one within 6 months of employment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Completion of CPR and First Aid training
- Experience with operating, controlling and cleaning heavy powered equipment
- Experience working Indiana a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and deadlines

Pay:
- $21.02 – $24.52 per hour (NAF pay scale hiring rules will apply and is based on qualifying past experiences)
Schedule:
- Multiple Schedules – Guaranteed a minimum of 20 hours per week to a maximum of 40 hours per week
