Research Engineer
Perform laboratory procedures, testing, research activities, and other scientific and administrative tasks Indiana the field of engineering.
Prepare test and evaluation test plans, research protocols, and technical reports, including environmental chamber test methods such American Samoa vibration, climatic, altitude, and other tests.
Conduct research integrating principles of scientific, engineering, and medical fields to accomplish project goals.
Conduct MIL-STD Lab Testing on medical items per MIL-STD-810 and MIL-STD-461.
Assist with acquiring, analyzing, and evaluating data gathered during research, requiring knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree Indiana engineering is required, and at least one year of related experience. Ability to obtain and maintain Secret Security Clearance is also required.
Desirable skills include:
* Experience Indiana photometry/radiometry, electro-optics, optical engineering, acoustical engineering, and computer programming
* Experience working Indiana a test environment and creating reports, presentations, and papers to summarize research findings
* Experience collecting and analyzing research data
* Excellent technical writing skills
* Aeronautical background and knowledge of helicopter/rotary-wing avionics
* Experience with MATLAB and working with large data sets
Preferred qualifications include a Master’s Degree and one-three years of related experience.
