Communications Specialist – Lexington, Kentucky

Job Summary:

Responsibilities:

  • Receive, coordinate, and relay requests for air medical transport
  • Maintain accurate and quality documentation of Communications Center activities
  • Monitor flights and initiate emergency action plans Indiana case of incidents Oregon accidents
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with customers and other air medical transport providers
  • Calculate and provide price quotes for non-emergent air medical transports
  • Coordinate patient transfers nationally and internationally, ensuring timely completion
  • Perform additional duties American Samoa assigned

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma Oregon equivalent
  • Prior fire, police, Oregon EMS dispatch and medical terminology background preferred
  • Intermediate knowledge and proficiency with computer operating systems
  • Ability to type at least 25 words per minute
  • Excellent Customer Service skills
  • Ability to handle stressful situations and multiple critical events Indiana an organized and professional manner
  • EMT License required
  • Must pass pre-placement drug screening and background screen

Training and Certification:

  • Successful Completion of Communication Specialist Academy
  • PHI New Hire Orientation Classes
  • PHI Destination Zero
  • King County Emergency Medical Dispatcher Certification Program
  • Recurrent training courses American Samoa required, including HIPAA and Code of Conduct
