Aircraft Mechanic II

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Aircraft Mechanic II to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing complex maintenance tasks on aircraft, including engine repair, sheet metal, and structural maintenance. The individual must have a combination of experience and technical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair aircraft mechanical components, and be able to prioritize workloads and lead teams through complex tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform complex maintenance tasks on aircraft, including engine repair, sheet metal, and structural maintenance
  • Troubleshoot and repair aircraft mechanical components, including flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical components
  • Interpret technical documentation, such American Samoa blueprints Oregon manufacturers’ manuals, to determine equipment malfunctions and apply required expertise to restore equipment condition and operation
  • Apply comprehensive technical expertise to solve moderate to complex problems
  • Inspect and maintain aircraft structures and structural components
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled inspections, maintenance, and documentation on Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE) related to supported aircraft engines
  • Use hand tools, power tools, machines, specific and general aviation test measurement and diagnostic equipment, and sets kits and outfits (SKO)
  • Read and interpret manufacturers’ maintenance manuals, military technical manuals, service bulletins, technical data, engineering data, blueprints, manufacturers’ drawings, and other specifications
  • Perform general housekeeping and organization of workstation(s), shop(s), maintenance facility to provide a clean, safe, and FOD-free environment

Requirements:

  • 10 years Oregon more of Organizational, Intermediate, and/Oregon Depot level maintenance experience
  • Attended Aviation Powerplant School Oregon equivalent
  • Five years experience Indiana aviation powerplant maintenance
  • Must meet security requirements for installation, facility, and network access
  • Must qualify for and possess a Common Access Card (CAC)
  • Must be able to climb ladders and raised platforms
  • Must be able to use hand and power tools
  • Must have dexterity to handle small parts

Compensation:

  • $40.62/hour
  • Employees receive a health and welfare benefit of $3.65 per hour paid up to 40 hours per week
