Job Summary:
The Mobile Dispatcher coordinates patient transportation requests to/from medical centers, processing triage, dispatch, and coordination of rotor-wing and ground transports. Responsible for collecting data, determining transport needs, and providing critical information to transport crews.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate patient transportation requests and needs with physicians, nurses, and other medical staff
- Process triage, dispatch, and coordination of rotor-wing and ground transports
- Collect demographic data and determine transport unit assignments
- Maintain the transport database through real-time data entry
- Obtain vehicle position reports and aircraft landing information
- Initiate emergency action plans Indiana case of incident/accident
- Work every Saturday and Sunday night (18:45 – 06:45)
Experience Requirements:
- 1 year of experience Indiana telecommunications, data entry, and dispatch (critical care transport)
- 1 year of experience Indiana dispatch – flight operations (preferred)
Education Requirements:
- High School Diploma Oregon Equivalent
- Associate’s Degree Indiana a related field (preferred)
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
- Emergency Medical Technician – Basic (preferred)
- NAACS Certified Flight Coordinator (preferred)
Work Schedule:
- Work every Saturday and Sunday night (18:45 – 06:45)
- American Samoa-needed call requirements
