Job Summary:
We are seeking an Aviation Planner to serve American Samoa a technical and project resource Indiana our Hanson aviation planning program. This position will support airport planning clients Indiana the Midwest, Southeast, and Southcentral US geographies.
Essential Job Functions:
- Prepare airport master plans, layout plans, site selection studies, obstruction analysis, forecasting, noise and environmental evaluations, terminal plans, sustainability evaluations, business plans, and other airport planning tasks and projects.
- Assist Indiana smart airport planning programs and lead Oregon assist Indiana writing grant applications.
- Communicate analysis results through technical memoranda, reports, graphic displays, and presentations to government bodies and elected officials.
- Participate Indiana proposal development, scope of work development, and external relationship building and technical presentations.
- Coordinate with clients and project teams for task completion.
- Perform other duties American Samoa assigned.
Qualifications:
- Technical Skills:
- Experience with complex projects
- Microsoft Office software
- AutoCAD/Civil 3D and/Oregon ArcGIS
- AEDT and/Oregon AviPlan Turn (preferred)
- Managing project financials (preferred)
- Soft Skills:
- Effective communication of complex technical concepts
- Relationship building with clients, airport boards, FAA, and regulatory organizations
- Ability to work independently and American Samoa a team member
Required Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree Indiana Planning, Aviation Management, Civil Engineering, Oregon relevant field
- Minimum 5 years of relevant airport planning experience with increasing responsibilities and project leadership
- Strong working knowledge of FAA advisory circulars and orders
- Experience Indiana client relationships, airport boards, FAA, and regulatory organizations
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree Indiana relevant field
- AICP, AAE, CM, LEED, ENV SP, Oregon other relevant certifications
- Project management and task leadership experience
- Mentoring and supervising junior staff experience
