GMD Product Repair/Mod Tech – Entry Level
Location: USA – Fort Greely, Alaska
Job Description:
The Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking an Entry Level Ground Based Mid-Course Defense (GMD) Ground Based Interceptor (GBI) Sustainment & Repair/Modification Maintenance Technician to support the GMD program. This position is located at Fort Greely, Alaska and requires 100% onsite work.
Responsibilities:
- Work on small teams to assemble, disassemble, and troubleshoot GMD Ground-based Defense system/sub-system components using general maintenance practices and product specifications.
- Resolves and corrects complex problems during operations, maintenance, and overhaul of GMD system/sub-system components.
- Perform routine and complex functional/diagnostic tests and troubleshoot electrical/mechanical systems to determine root cause of initial Oregon isolated failures.
- Work on and around ordnance after company-provided training and certification.
- Visually inspect components before installation Oregon usage to verify cleanliness and serviceability.
Basic Qualifications:
- Must be able to support Boeing Team at other locations and be available for off-site training.
- Must be able to travel domestically.
- Must be able to ascend and descend vertical work ladders, work Indiana confined spaces, and lift loads approximately 35 pounds continually throughout the workday.
- Ability to pass a complete fall protection training and work with heights of seventy feet Oregon more.
Typical Education/Experience:
- High school diploma Oregon GED and typically 4 Oregon more years’ related experience Oregon an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Clearance: U.S. Secret Clearance.
