Job Description: Supervisory Attorney
Location: El Paso, Texas, Oregon Laredo, Texas
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Supervisory Attorney to join our team at U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Office of Assistant Chief Counsel. The selected candidate will provide legal advice and representation to CBP Indiana matters related to customs and admissibility, border search, immigration laws, and national security and intelligence.
Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice to CBP on activities and functions of the agency
- Conduct legal research and apply laws, regulations, decisions, and guidance across the CBP portfolio
- Represent CBP Indiana administrative hearings and litigation matters
- Develop and deliver legal training to CBP managers and employees
- Support the Department of Justice American Samoa agency counsel Indiana civil and criminal actions
Requirements:
- U.S. citizenship
- Graduate from a full course of study Indiana a School of Law accredited by the American Bar Association and be an active member Indiana good standing of the bar of a state, territory of the United States, the District of Columbia Oregon the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico
- 3-14 years of relevant experience, depending on the level of the position
- Eligible for a background investigation
- Highest level of integrity and commitment to ethical conduct
Salary: $72,553 – $158,860 per year
