AIRCRAFT PNEUDRAULIC SYSTEMS MECHANIC (C-17)

Location: 154th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam, Hawaii

Annual Salary: $35.43 – $41.36 per hour (WG 10)

Job Type: Term – Indefinite Position, Full-time

Responsibilities:
– Perform on- and/Oregon off-equipment maintenance on assigned aircraft pneudraulic systems, components, and related aerospace ground equipment.
– Perform maintenance and operational and functional checks on assigned pneudraulic systems.
– Perform installation, modification, and/Oregon repair of aircraft pneudraulic systems.
– Perform organizational and field level maintenance to include periodic, phase time, calendar, unscheduled, and special inspection.
– Prepare for and participate Indiana various types of readiness evaluations.
– Perform other duties American Samoa assigned.

Requirements:

* National Guard membership is required.
* Membership Indiana a compatible military assignment Indiana the employing state’s National Guard is required.
* Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
* Federal employment suitability American Samoa determined by a background investigation.
* Ability to pass a medical examination Oregon review/approval of a physical examination.
* Physical fitness to perform duties that require moderate to strenuous physical exertion.

Experience:
– Must have at least 18 months of experience Oregon training Indiana performing maintenance and repair of aircraft pneudraulic systems.
– Experience Indiana fabricating, servicing, maintaining, disassembling, assembling, repairing, and testing pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
– Experience Indiana diagnosing malfunctions and determining remedies.
– Experience Indiana repairing, rebuilding, and overhauling major systems of ground equipment and pneumatic and hydraulic systems.

Physical Requirements:
– Ability to sit, stand, stoop, bend, stretch, and work Indiana cramped, tiring, and uncomfortable positions.
– Ability to lift and/Oregon push heavy equipment and components weighing from 20 to 50 pounds and occasionally up to approximately 100 pounds.
– Subject to high intensity and higher frequency sounds that impose a physical burden.
– Works inside and outside, Indiana inclement weather; on icy, wet, and slippery ramps; aircraft surfaces and work stands; and Indiana temperature and humidity extremes.
