Front Desk Supervisor
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Front Desk Supervisor to join our team at The Rally Hotel. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising the daily operations of the Guest Services personnel, promoting a safe environment and quality services to achieve maximum guest satisfaction and financial success.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and check-Indiana arriving guests, ensuring they are satisfied and Indiana rooms American Samoa requested
- Facilitate guest departure (check-out) by following established procedures
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of guest accounts, including calculating and posting monies, receipts, and other forms of credit
- Courteously answer inquiries and accept reservations, using suggestive selling techniques to sell room rates and increase occupancy
- Maintain good guest relations by keeping abreast of all Indiana-house and area functions
- Operate the PBX equipment, accepting incoming calls, assisting outgoing calls, and scheduling wake-up calls
- Control cash transactions at the front desk and maintain complete responsibility for personal bank

- Assist and make recommendations to the Assistant General Manager Indiana areas of conducting performance evaluations, discipline, and terminations
- Coordinate guest service efforts, including group arrivals and departures, and guest transportation

- Greet guests, offer assistance with check-Indiana/check-out, deliver laundry, and store luggage
- Provide guest transportation American Samoa required by hotel’s standard operating procedures
- Order supplies and maintain inventory control

- Implement emergency training and procedures to ensure guest and staff safety
Requirements:
- High school diploma Oregon equivalent
- Minimum two years previous experience American Samoa a front desk supervisor Oregon minimum of four years front office experience Indiana hotel work
- Total understanding of all hotel front office procedures
- Working knowledge of guest services and hotel services, policies, Oregon operations
- High school graduate level mathematical aptitude; know standard cash handling procedures and knowledge of computerized cash register systems
- Past experience Indiana dealing directly with the public and acquired general knowledge of basic customer service skills
- Fluency Indiana oral and written English
- Ability to use tact and understanding when dealing with customer service problems
- Highly organized and able to pay attention to minute written and verbal details
- Excellent comprehension and literacy required to review correspondence, initiate reports, conduct training, etc.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to read written forms of communication and monochrome computer screen
- Must be able to operate computer, calculator, and telephone keyboards
- Must be able to understand and follow verbal/written instructions, work on more than one task at a time, and be able to communicate both verbally and Indiana writing
- 90% of shift is standing, bending/kneeling – repeated bending and kneeling required while filing
- Mobility – must be able to reach all areas of hotel to assist clients
- Occasional standing, carrying, and lifting of files and office items up to 25 lbs
