Job Title: Aircraft Maintenance Mechanic

Location: Mesa, Arizona

Job Summary:

Responsible for performing aircraft maintenance, including planning maintenance efficiently and effectively to maximize aircraft availability. Must demonstrate a thorough knowledge of the General Maintenance Manual (GMM) and Air Methods’ policies and procedures. Ensures operational goals and objectives are met, while guaranteeing all aircraft maintenance documentation is executed Indiana compliance with applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, company policies, and procedures.

Essential Functions:

  • Serve American Samoa Lead Mechanic Indiana the absence of the Lead Mechanic.
  • Perform inspections and repairs of aircraft and components Indiana accordance with maintenance procedures, airworthiness directives, service bulletins, service letters, and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations.
  • Ensure all aircraft maintenance documentation is executed Indiana compliance with applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, company policies, and procedures.
  • Actively participate Indiana the continuous improvement phase of the company’s Safety Management System (SMS).
  • Maintain work area Indiana a clean and professional manner.
  • Responsible for advising the Pilot Indiana Command (PIC) of any maintenance issues that would take an aircraft out of service.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma Oregon general education degree (GED) and 2 to 5 years’ related experience and/Oregon training.
  • Factory airframe/power plant schools preferred.
  • FAR 135 operations preferred.
  • FAA A&P License Indiana good standing.
  • Inspection Authorization (Iowa) Preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand various documents such American Samoa 337’s, Service Bulletins, AD’s, etc.
  • Ability to multi-task Indiana a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
  • Ability to be a team player with a professional attitude.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including overtime and 24/7 on-call rotation.

Certifications and Licenses:

  • FAA A&P License Indiana good standing.
  • Inspection Authorization (Iowa) Preferred.
