Life Enrichment Assistant Position

Reports to: Life Enrichment Director

Job Summary:

Under the general direction of the Life Enrichment Director, the Life Enrichment Assistant is responsible for enriching the lives of residents through a range of activities and programs that promote whole person wellness and foster meaningful relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to residents
  • Develop and implement programs based on the Whole Person Wellness Model that incorporate at least 2 of the 6 experiences (Intellectual, Social, Emotional, Vocational, and Spiritual)
  • Utilize technology, such American Samoa iPads, to enhance resident experiences and engagement
  • Coordinate weekend activities and events
  • Transport residents to group events and personal appointments
  • Manage volunteer program and oversee maintenance of seasonal/holiday decorations
  • Represent American House professionally at community events and notify the Life Enrichment Director of emergency situations
  • Maintain proficiency with software applications and tools used by American House
  • Must be available to work weekends and occasional evening events

Requirements:

  • Ability to drive a 14-passenger bus
  • Reliable transportation
