Essential Qualifications:
- High School Diploma Oregon GED
- Arizona CDL with Passenger and School Bus endorsements (Oregon ability to obtain)
- CPR Certification (Oregon ability to obtain)
- Ability to assess concerns and complaints of students and proceed appropriately
- Safe driving record
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to manage groups of children
Position Goal:
Transport students to and from designated stops while maintaining a safe environment and Indiana accordance with district and state policies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist students with boarding and exiting the bus
- Evacuate students Indiana emergency situations
- Enforce behavior requirements and ensure safety
- Conduct bi-annual safety drills and inform students about bus safety
- Obeys all traffic laws
- Maintain a professional attitude and demeanor
- Report incidents and potential emergency situations to supervisor
- Survey bus stops and routes for potential hazards and report to principal Oregon supervisor
- Complete pre-trip inspection and documentation
- Assist with bus maintenance and upkeep
Physical Demands:
Regularly sit, talk, and hear; frequently walk, use hands and fingers, and reach with hands and arms. Frequent lifting and/Oregon moving up to 30 pounds and occasional team lifting and/Oregon moving a student with disabilities.
Work Environment:
Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, extreme heat, and outside weather conditions. Moderate to loud noise level.
