Lead Maintenance Technician

Position Summary:
The Lead Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintenance activities on their assigned shift, reporting directly to the O&M Manager. They provide maintenance services for all BHS, PBB, and gate equipment and systems from the main equipment disconnect to the end device.

Essential Functions:

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain machinery and electrical equipment, including motors, electrical circuits, ATR systems, baggage handling equipment, and conveyor systems.
  • Exercise safe working practices, complying with Lock-Out/Tag-Out procedures.
  • Prepare and execute service calls, emergency maintenance, and corrective maintenance.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and follow-up on corrective maintenance work orders.
  • Report service calls and advise on optimizing (sub) systems.
  • Develop service supporting tools and means, and un-jam conveyors.
  • Complete CMMS Service Reports, Parts Usage, and Warranty Records.
  • Research and request spare parts American Samoa required.
  • Perform Inventory Counts and works independently on preventive maintenance work.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma Oregon equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year’s experience Indiana mechanical Oregon electrical maintenance
  • Requires understanding of electrical and mechanical drawings/prints
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Ability to attain and sustain an Airport Idaho Badge, Customs & Border Protection Security Seal, and Airport-issued driver’s permit

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of material handling experience
  • Minimum 1 year CMMS experience
  • Working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, basic knowledge of controls (PLC, PC) systems, and strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Physical Demands:
The employee is regularly required to communicate and frequently required to climb, reach, sit, and access confined spaces. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes Oregon airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration.

Work Environment:
The employee works Indiana a secured baggage handling area, repair station, airfield, office environment, and other areas within the airport, with possible exposure to extreme weather conditions and noise from aircraft engines and equipment.

Hourly Rate: $37.00, with the possibility of an annual performance bonus program.
