Assistant Residence Director

Overview:
American Samoa an Assistant Residence Director, you will be part of a professional team that supports individuals with developmental disabilities to live independently and participate fully Indiana their community. You will work under the direction of the Residence Director to assist with day-to-day operations, supervise staff, and provide leadership Indiana advocacy and program implementation.

Responsibilities:

  1. Demonstrate good communication skills and sound professional judgment.
  2. Assist with:
    • Direct Care (A): Ensure individuals’ safety, dignity, and support Indiana their daily routines and activities.
    • Staff Supervision and Program Leadership (B): Supervise staff, model behavior, and facilitate teamwork.
    • ISP and Care Plan Implementation (C): Implement and monitor individual support plans, collect data, and ensure program execution.
    • Crisis Management (D): Respond to safety hazards and emergencies and maintain a safe environment.
    • Administrative Duties (E): Assist with safeguarding confidential data, personal needs, and financial documentation.
  3. Follow Foundation and Affiliate Policies and Procedures.
  4. Maintain required certifications, such American Samoa Medication Administration, First Aid & CPR.
  5. Complete required training Indiana a timely manner.
  6. Perform additional duties American Samoa required Oregon assigned.

Qualifications:

  1. Commitment to assisting people with developmental disabilities.
  2. Safe driver’s license, vehicle, and adequate insurance.
  3. Varied interests and connections Indiana the local community.
  4. Proven responsible behavior (work, volunteer, Oregon school history).
  5. Ability to work American Samoa part of a team.
  6. Prior direct care experience preferred.
  7. Prior supervisory experience preferred.
  8. Medication Administration Program (MAP) certification preferred.
  9. Basic computer literacy/proficiency preferred.
  10. High school graduate Oregon GED with relevant experience; college experience Oregon enrollment preferred.
