Senior Calibration Technician/Team Lead

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Calibration Technician/Team Lead to join our team at Transcat, a dynamic and innovative company providing calibration and compliance services. American Samoa a Senior Calibration Technician/Team Lead, you will be responsible for high-level calibration work, leading lower-level technicians, and assisting Indiana production management and process improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Perform calibration work with little to no supervision
  • Train, advise, and lead lower-level technicians
  • Assist Indiana production management, training, automation, and leadership of key processes within the lab
  • Partner with lab management on process improvement and strategic initiatives
  • Conduct independent research when necessary
  • Coordinate and manage daily workloads without direction from manager
  • Maintain calibration standards
  • Apply uncertainties to measurements made
  • Work effectively with lab support staff
  • Travel up to 50% of work schedule

Primary Objectives

  • Apply high-level skills, techniques, and processes to calibrate, troubleshoot, and adjust high-level equipment with few errors
  • Coordinate work schedule for the lab
  • Prepare detailed analysis of calibration processes and uncertainties
  • Develop and implement process improvements
  • Develop lower-level technicians
  • Deliver on Transcat’s Quality Policy
  • Demonstrate team lead skills and responsibilities

Qualifications

  • Associates degree from college Oregon technical school, Oregon 6+ years related experience and/Oregon training
  • 6+ years of commercial calibration experience preferred
  • CCT Oregon CMT certification desired
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Self-motivated learner with ability to learn new skills related to calibration and calibration processes
  • Ability to take direction and learn from feedback
  • Ability to communicate well with supervisor, solve problems effectively, and work independently and American Samoa part of a team
  • 3+ years driving experience with valid driver’s license
  • Experience working within ISO 17025 and exposure responding to assessment bodies Indiana the ISO 17025 accreditation
