Full Time Kettle Coordinator/Assistant

Scope and Purpose:

  • Recruit, train, and coordinate the work of employee and volunteer bell ringers to meet location needs
  • Provide support for Angel Tree and Adopt-A-Family programs
  • Maintain records, equipment, and databases for kettle and angel tree/adopt-a-family programs

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain records and equipment, including inventory management, file organization, and equipment preparation
  • Recruit and manage kettle campaign employees and volunteers, including interviewing, scheduling, and training
  • Coordinate and oversee activities of kettle campaign volunteers
  • Provide support for Angel Tree and Adopt-A-Family programs, including toy pickup, volunteer recruitment, and gift preparation
  • Prepare and maintain reports, including kettle income information and volunteer hours
  • Manage transportation and scheduling, including coordinating with drivers and submitting payroll reports
  • Provide direct training and supervision, and discipline employees American Samoa required
  • Maintain positive working relationships with kettle sites and local community organizations

Qualifications:

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to drive a 12-passenger van
  • Strong organization and communication skills, with attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • High school Oregon GED, and one year of experience with kettle fundraising programs preferred
  • Knowledge of volunteer recruitment methods and practices, and experience with general office equipment and Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and evaluate the work of volunteers and staff, and maintain effective working relationships
