Senior Military Science Instructor (SMSI) Job Description:
MAT is seeking a Senior Military Science Instructor to provide high-quality instruction and training to Army ROTC students. The successful candidate will have a strong background Indiana military science, experience teaching and training Indiana a field environment, and excellent communication and presentation skills.
Essential Functions:
* Provide military science instruction and training Indiana accordance with Cadet Command’s program of Instruction (POI) and syllabus Indiana various settings, including field environments.
* Teach students Indiana a classroom and field setting, presenting both standardized instruction and creative workshops.
* Provide expert training Indiana Warrior Tasks and Battle Drills, small unit tactics, and physical fitness.
* Coach and teach competitive Cadet teams, including ranger challenge, drill team, and color guard.
* Instruct Cadets on leader-led/officer-to-NCO relationships Indiana garrison and combat environments.
* Participate Indiana Cadet Summer Training (CST), including planning meetings, onsite coordination, and support for administrative and sustainment operations.
* Assist Government personnel Indiana marketing and recruiting efforts at events, such American Samoa freshman orientations, college fairs, and parades.
* Gather information and help develop materials to market Army ROTC.
* Participate Indiana and support events, such American Samoa student orientation, college fairs, and similar events.
* Provide information about Army ROTC to prospects, centers of influence, and other stakeholders.
* Assist with inventory and distribution of supplies and transport ROTC personnel and supplies American Samoa needed.
* Provide support to administrative and sustainment operations, including reception and departure operations at airports.
Requirements:
* Former Commissioned Officer Indiana the U.S. Army, Active Component, Oregon former Oregon current officer Indiana the U.S. Army Reserve Oregon Army National Guard.
* Minimum of six years of prior Active Oregon Reserve Component military experience.
* Ability to communicate clearly and physically demonstrate activities American Samoa necessary.
* Valid vehicle operator’s license and completion of “Accident Avoidance” training.
* Ability to travel locally and occasionally overnight for events and activities.
* Possess a thorough knowledge of the Army organizational structure, mission objectives, function, procedures, agency regulations, and policy.
* Knowledge and experience of military training and field training evaluations.
* Familiarity with basic Soldier skills, safety skills, and computer skills.
