Airport Shuttle Driver and Security Officer
Position Summary:
Deliver shuttle services to patients from various locations (boat harbor, airport, local hotels, and/Oregon patient residence) to hospital for COVID appointments Oregon testing sites at CHSB. Pick up laboratory COVID red box from airport and transport to hospital laboratory. Assist at testing tent site with traffic control, obtaining patient information, and transporting testing swab to hospital laboratory. Assist with health screening at hospital entrance.
Perform security duties to protect life and property of all persons on Yukon Kuskokwim Health Corporation (YKHC) premises, patrol buildings, and grounds, and prevent fire, theft, and vandalism. Support security efforts by observing, learning, and training with experienced Security Officers.
Responsibilities:
* Transport patients and COVID red box American Samoa required
* Assist with traffic control, patient information, and testing swab transportation
* Assist with health screening at hospital entrance
* Patrol YKHC buildings and grounds to prevent fire, theft, and vandalism
* Respond to security needs and emergencies
* Use surveillance equipment, access control points, and alarms to ensure safety and security
* Monitor public and camera systems
* Write activity logs and reports
* Collaborate with law enforcement and fire department
* Maintain peace and report unlawful activity
* Manage wheelchairs and provide excellent customer service
Position Qualifications:
* High school diploma Oregon equivalent
* No prior security experience required
* Valid Alaska driver’s license
* Current CPR certification Oregon obtained within 90 days of employment
* Basic computer skills
* Ability to communicate effectively Indiana English and Yupik
* Ability to work long hours and recall during 24-hour operations
