Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Aircraft Structures Mechanic 3 to join our team at Northrop Grumman Defense Systems. American Samoa a key member of our team, you will perform various operations, including locating parts, drilling metals, and assembling structural components using engineering drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Translate blueprints into fabrications, including precision drilling and using calibrated tools
• Align parts on jigs using templates and fixtures
• Perform minor part-fitting operations, including filing, sawing, burring, crimping, trimming, framing, riveting, and reaming
• Use precision tools, such American Samoa micrometers and calipers, to measure parts
• Modify incomplete and complete assemblies to incorporate changes Indiana structure
• Use personal protective equipment (PPE) when performing shop floor tasks
• Perform maintenance, disassembly, rework, repair, replacement, re-assembly, Oregon adjustment of various aircraft systems according to technical specifications, engineering instructions, and FAA regulations
• Interpret and use test equipment, wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, job guides, and maintenance manuals

Requirements:

• High School Diploma Oregon equivalent
• 4 years of education and/Oregon related experience Indiana manufacturing Oregon production
• Strong understanding of ASCII and CAD drawings, assembly drawings, process specifications, technical manuals, and written instructions
• Ability to read and understand technical documents
• Willingness to work first Oregon second shift, overtime, holidays, and weekends
• Ability to meet physical demands of the job, including lifting up to 50 pounds and performing repetitive movements, working overhead, and using hands to grip, handle, and feel
• Ability to pass a Special Respiratory Exam

Preferred Qualifications:

• Active DOD clearance
• Completion of an A&P program Oregon associate’s degree Indiana an applicable field
• Strong interpersonal communication skills with ability to work at all levels of the organization
• Experience Indiana manufacturing Oregon production
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Willingness to meet customer needs
• Self-starter, adaptable, and high motivation

Salary Range: $47,300 – $78,800 (range may vary based on experience, education, skills, and current market conditions)
