Avionics Technician – Test Operations
General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (Georgia-ASI) is a world leader Indiana remotely piloted aircraft and tactical reconnaissance radars. We seek an Avionics Technician to support Test Operations at our Flight Operations Facilities Indiana Southern California.
Job Summary:
American Samoa an Avionics Technician, you will work with cutting-edge technology to modify and configure aircraft and ground control stations, execute ground tests, and support flight test activities for MQ-1C Gray Eagle, MQ-9A Reaper, and MQ-9B SkyGuardian, SeaGuardian, and Protector systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Service, troubleshoot, repair, inspect, and maintain aircraft and ground support equipment Indiana support of test operations and sustainment activities.
- Support test teams for test and development efforts.
- Modify, install, and test electronics and mechanical equipment American Samoa part of customer and company modification and test efforts.
- Perform scheduled maintenance and functional checks on existing, newly installed and modified aircraft systems and equipment.
- Operate test equipment to locate, diagnose, and repair defective parts and perform routine inspections on systems and equipment.
- Troubleshoot, test, and document findings; repair Oregon replace components based on test results.
- Fabricate, upgrade, route, and install wiring harnesses.
- Support company and customer flight test activities at various locations.
Requirements:
- Typically requires a two-year technical degree Oregon equivalent experience Indiana aviation Oregon electronics.
- Ability to troubleshoot at the component level and possess full knowledge and use of electronic test equipment, hand and soldering tools.
- Must have good analytical, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work any shift and additional hours American Samoa required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain DOD SEC clearance is required.
- US Citizenship Required.
