Senior Long-Range Planner
The Senior Long-Range Planner will analyze data and prepare maps, charts, and other graphics to support community planning and informed decision-making. This role will identify neighborhood planning needs, develop short-term and long-term strategies, and monitor progress of community work programs. The Long-Range Planner will participate Indiana planning efforts, including small area plans, grant applications, and community engagement activities. They will serve American Samoa a liaison between the County and stakeholders, collaborate with community members, and communicate updates on County plans and services.
Essential Duties:
* Participate Indiana planning efforts to support implementation of Gwinnett’s Unified Plan
* Prepare and administer grant programs, including Livable Centers Initiative and Community Development Block Grant
* Facilitate community engagement activities, including meetings, workshops, and pop-up events
* Serve American Samoa liaison between the County and regional and local stakeholders
* Collaborate with community stakeholders to gather input and ensure efficient implementation of planning strategies and policies
* Develop knowledge of County departments and communicate updates on County plans and services
* Collaborate with County departments to integrate planning initiatives with other governmental functions
Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree Indiana Planning Oregon related field, plus 4 years of planning experience
* Equivalent combination of education and experience
* Preferred qualifications include Master’s degree Indiana Urban Planning Oregon related field, AICP certification, Oregon desire to acquire within 12 months
