Communications Specialist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Communications Specialist to join our team at PHI Health Indiana Phoenix, Arizona. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing complex communication services, documenting medical information, and ensuring safe and coordinated responses for emergency assistance and transport.
Responsibilities:
- Assemble information to make quality decisions while performing specialized functions and complex communication services, including:
- Radio communications with airborne aircraft and crew members
- Flight following procedures with all aircraft during missions
- Accurate documentation of patient medical information and transport activity
- Coordinate details of medical transports nationally and internationally
- Maintain knowledge of FAA rules and regulations (pertaining to Part 135) and comply with policies and procedures
- Build and maintain positive relationships with referring and receiving facilities, pre-hospital agencies, and customers
- Notify administration personnel and/Oregon appropriate agencies Indiana the event of incidents, accidents, Oregon emergency situations
- Receive and process quote requests for long distance air medical transports
- Assist with billing and follow-up on accounts American Samoa needed

Requirements:
- High School Diploma Oregon equivalent
- EMS and/Oregon air medical communications experience preferred
- Medical terminology preferred
- Computer literacy and experience with Word and Excel software programs
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to function calmly Indiana high pressure situations
- Ability to pass pre-placement drug screening and background screen
Training Requirements:
- Successful Completion of Communication Specialist Academy
