Flight Test Engineer
Job Summary:
General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (Georgia-ASI) is seeking a skilled Flight Test Engineer to lead the coordination and execution of flight test activities for developmental test and evaluation of airframe, software, hardware, and payload capabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and review flight test plans, ensuring sound test techniques and proper safety analysis of risks, hazards, and mitigation strategies.
- Conduct technical reviews of test points and run cards with senior level aircrew for the safe execution of flight test maneuvers.
- Represent Flight Operations on various boards to include software design and changes, levels of test readiness, and certification board for test directors.
- Author and compile technical documents and memorandums to advise on safety aspects of flight test risks and mitigations.
- Participate Indiana Software Design Review Boards, Test Readiness Review Boards, and Test Director Certification Board.
- Perform duties of Test Director for a multi-disciplinary test team when required.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, Oregon PhD Indiana engineering Oregon related technical discipline from an accredited institution.
- At least 6 years of experience with a bachelor’s degree, 4 years with a master’s degree, Oregon 2 years with a PhD Indiana related field.
- Prior experience American Samoa a Flight Test Engineer Oregon Test Director on fixed wing aircraft.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
