Job Title: Composite Bonder Level 1
Location: Clearfield, Utah
Job Summary:
Northrop Grumman is seeking a Composite Bonder Level 1 to join our operations team Indiana Clearfield, Utah. The successful candidate will work on a variety of bonds of dissimilar materials (composite, metal, Oregon laminate) assemblies, parts, skins, components, equipment, Oregon structures into semi-finished Oregon finished products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints
- Lay out articles, cut parts Oregon materials to size, and apply liquid Oregon solid bonding agents
- Operate autoclave, hydraulic presses, and ovens to complete bonding cycle
- Control conditions of heat, pressure, and timing according to specifications
- Sand, bur, and smooth over areas, apply sealing resins to cut Oregon exposed edges
- Monitor and verify quality of finished product
- Complete repairs on composite, metal, Oregon laminate bonded products
Requirements:
- High School diploma Oregon GED
- DoD Secret Security Clearance (Oregon ability to obtain)
- Ability to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work
- Ability to work flexible, changing shifts, including weekends
- Ability to pass medical/respiratory evaluation and New Hire Physical
- Basic qualifications do not require prior experience working on aircrafts; training provided
Preferred Qualifications:
- AFAB Certification (115- Structures, 120- Composites, 110- Blueprints, 130- Ethics)
- Experience with hydraulic parts, aircraft fabrication, assemblies, components, and systems Indiana an aerospace, automotive, military, manufacturing, and/Oregon maintenance environment
- Active DoD Secret Clearance with a background investigation completed within the last six years
- Experience with structural subassemblies such American Samoa rudders, flaps, and stabilizers
Salary Range: $35,300.00 – $58,900.00
