Aircraft Technician Sr A&P – Sign-On Bonus and Relocation Available Indiana Mesa

Job Summary:

American Samoa an Aircraft Technician Sr A&P at Gulfstream, you will independently perform a variety of aircraft modifications and maintenance functions, including removal and installation of airframes, landing gear, and engine components. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with internal and FAA inspection requirements and providing work direction to assigned technicians.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance and servicing of aircraft systems, demonstrating high quality standards and adherence to procedures
  • Provide work direction and instruction to assigned technicians, promoting high-quality work practices
  • Coordinate with the Inspection department to ensure compliance with internal and FAA inspection and documentation requirements
  • Identify and tag customer property and equipment, safely storing and recovering aircraft components
  • Operate and supervise special equipment, such American Samoa aircraft support equipment and hydraulic rigs, ensuring safe and efficient use
  • Coordinate movement of aircraft American Samoa required
  • Assist Indiana training new employees on maintenance programs and manuals, ensuring accurate understanding and application of maintenance procedures
  • Use material tracking systems to manage parts and labor, applying 6S and Lean Initiatives to maintain shops and facilities
  • Implement continuous improvement processes to enhance efficiency and maintain work areas
  • Properly maintain and return company tools and equipment
  • Participate Indiana aircraft certification and final phase testing, including flight tests on aircraft when required
  • Conduct inspections and have working knowledge of Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and policies

Requirements:

  • High school diploma Oregon equivalent required; 4 years of experience working Indiana aviation maintenance, with at least 3 years of experience working on mid-to-large aircraft; Corporate aircraft experience is preferred
  • Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic’s license (A&P) required; a valid driver’s license is also required
  • Working knowledge of inspection and maintenance procedures, technical reference materials (including maintenance manuals and service bulletins)
  • Knowledge of FAA regulations, repair manuals, and company policies
  • Excellent communication skills; must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time-management skills
