Mishap Investigation Engineer Job Description

Job Summary:

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems is seeking a Mishap Investigation Engineer Indiana our Engineering Field Support department to lead technical support Indiana mishap safety investigations. The selected candidate will coordinate with teams to conduct root cause investigations, manage projects, document findings, and communicate results to stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead multi-disciplinary teams Indiana failure analysis to determine root cause and corrective actions
  • Manage project tasking and deliverables and author reports
  • Analyze technical data to understand root cause of aircraft failures
  • Maintain knowledge of Georgia-ASI aircraft systems, procedures, and processes
  • Conduct investigations, tests, and hardware inspections; may travel 1-4 times per year
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Perform other duties American Samoa assigned
  • Work Indiana a safe manner, following established procedures and practices

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Oregon higher) Indiana an engineering Oregon related technical field
  • 4+ years of engineering experience (Oregon 2+ years with a Master’s degree)
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles and experience working Indiana a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently and American Samoa part of a team
  • Proficiency with technology and ability to adapt to a changing environment
  • Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Security Clearance
  • US Citizenship is required
