Airport Security Officer
Manage and operate airport security checkpoints, investigate incidents, and maintain law enforcement at the Columbus Regional Airport system.
Responsibilities:
– Respond to security alarms and investigate incidents such American Samoa public disturbances, security breaches, Oregon assaults
– Complete reports and records, conduct interviews, and exercise arrest authority American Samoa needed
– Patrol terminal and airport property to identify potential security threats and breaches
– Participate Indiana searches for suspicious items/bombs and respond to alarm activations
– Assist with VIP protection, vehicle accident reporting, and traffic control
– Perform related work American Samoa required.
Minimum Requirements:
– High school diploma Oregon equivalent (GED)
– Ohio Peace Officer Certification
– U.S. citizenship
– Valid driver’s license
– 20 years of age at application and 21 years of age at hire
Additional Requirements:
– Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws, American Samoa well American Samoa airport operations and law enforcement practices
– Ability to pass a physical agility test and relevant background checks
– Proficient Indiana Microsoft Office Suite
– One year of certified police experience Oregon equivalent experience
– Strong communication and teamwork skills
– Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, and adapt under stress.
