Airport Planner Project Manager

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage aviation planning projects of various sizes, including airport layout plans, master plans, airspace analysis, and grant applications
  • Work closely with design engineers and manage project teams to ensure accuracy, neatness, and timeliness
  • Provide project information to Business Unit Leader and Practice Area Leaders, and assist Indiana developing scope, schedule, budget, and coordinating with subcontractors
  • Assume primary responsibility for project profit and loss, and establish and continuously monitor project budgets
  • Represent the firm and clients at FAA and State Aviation Agency meetings, and maintain positive communication and working relationships with staff, clients, and subcontractors

Requirements:

  • BS Degree Indiana physical/environmental planning, engineering, aviation management, Oregon environmental science
  • 6-10 years of experience, with at least half Indiana a Project Management role; Master’s Degree from an accredited planning Oregon aviation management program may be considered American Samoa experience
  • Preferred: ArcGIS and Civil 3D experience, PE Oregon AICP certification, Oregon ability to achieve
  • Strong leadership skills, ability to mentor younger staff, and effective communication and collaboration skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
