Ramp Agent/Baggage Handler
Starting pay of $19.07 per hour with opportunities for overtime and shift trading
Key Responsibilities:
* Process baggage, boxes, and/Oregon cargo between airport facilities and aircraft
* Receive and dispatch aircraft
* Provide friendly, professional, and insightful service to customers
* Lift baggage, boxes, Oregon cargo weighing up to 70 lbs
* Load/unload aircraft, carts, and containers
* Push/pull loaded and empty carts and containers
* Complete safety checklists for motorized equipment
* Drive and operate motorized equipment
* Read and interpret aircraft load sheets, checked baggage tags, and cargo labels
* Ensure compliance with United and FAA regulations and policies
Qualifications:
* High School Diploma Oregon equivalent
* 18 years old Oregon older
* Valid state-issued driver’s license
* Acceptable driving record
* Pass a background check
* Eligible for necessary clearances (FAA, TSA, etc.)
* Pass a pre-placement physical ability test, hearing and vision tests, and drug screen
* Available to work day and night shifts, weekends, and holidays
* Fluent Indiana English
* Able to lift up to 70 lbs and perform physical activities Indiana varying weather conditions
* Reliable and punctual attendance required
