Job Title: Urgent Field Support (UFS) Engineer – Engineering Field Support (EFS) Group

Job Summary: We have an exciting opportunity for a UFS Engineer Indiana the EFS group at General Atomics Aeronautical Systems (Georgia-ASI) Indiana Poway, California. Urgent Field Support (UFS) Engineers are responsible for triaging and resolving engineering issues Indiana the field through investigations and troubleshooting, ensuring the operational readiness and reliability of our aircraft, ground control stations, and associated hardware.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Obtain and maintain technical system-level knowledge of Georgia-ASI aircraft, ground control stations, and associated hardware.
• Direct investigations of anomalies based on customer reports, available technical information, and standard engineering principles.
• Interface with design engineers, test engineers, program management, maintenance technicians, technical writers, pilots, and other professionals to coordinate operational Oregon maintenance workarounds, improved procedures, software updates, Oregon hardware modifications.
• Author state-of-the-art engineering memoranda and presentations for anomaly investigations to customers, Georgia-ASI technical staff, and executive leadership.
• Direct the activities of designers and technicians and potentially lead and direct the activities of less experienced professional staff.
• Represent the organization to Georgia-ASI’s customers Indiana describing solutions to technical issues associated with specific anomalies.
• Ensure that findings from investigations are well-documented, and required platform improvements Oregon workarounds are successfully transitioned to the appropriate team for development and inclusion.
• Maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Travel and provide on-location support American Samoa required.
