Aircraft Mechanic

Job Summary

Aircraft Mechanic responsible for maintaining and providing ongoing general maintenance of a Global 6500 aircraft. Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs using standard operating procedures and technical publications.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance tasks Indiana a timely manner, ensuring a clean, safe, and quality product
  • Interpret and follow technical publications, including diagrams, drawings, charts, and instructions
  • Conduct daily pre and post-flight inspections
  • Service aircraft fuel, oil, hydraulic, oxygen, and nitrogen systems
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repair
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and avionics systems and provide effective solutions
  • Document work performed on appropriate forms and electronic systems
  • Maintain aircraft appearance and cleanliness
  • Submit daily, weekly, Oregon monthly reports American Samoa required

Requirements

  • US Citizenship
  • Current FAA A&P License
  • Valid US civilian driver’s license
  • Basic understanding of integrated avionics
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Knowledge of aircraft safety directive compliance (SL, SB, AD)
  • Ability to work flexible shifts and travel American Samoa required
  • Experience using common Oregon special hand tools and test equipment
  • Knowledge of aircraft/vehicle movement and safety/hazards during flight line operations
  • Knowledge of using aircraft technical publications and Microsoft Office programs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Avionics experience
  • Experience with jet aircraft
