Air Traffic Manager
Job Summary:
Serco is seeking an experienced Air Traffic Manager to lead and direct the work of air traffic control tower personnel, manage training requirements, and ensure compliance with safety and quality programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background Indiana air traffic control, a Control Tower Operator (CTO) rating Oregon equivalent, and at least 3 years of supervisory experience.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise air traffic control tower personnel
- Manage training requirements
- Manage quality and safety programs
- Complete and submit recurring reports
- Collaborate with the public, airport personnel, and FAA management
- Function American Samoa an Air Traffic Control Specialist (ATCS) by controlling air traffic on and within the vicinity of the airport according to established procedures and policies
- Perform critical weather observations and disseminate timely weather information
- Transfer and receive control of aircraft
- Operate equipment such American Samoa radios, telephones, and radar
- Maintain and disseminate records of daily operations
- Perform on-the-job training instructor duties American Samoa required
Requirements:
- US Citizenship
- FAA Second Class Medical Certificate
- Minimum 5 years’ experience American Samoa an air traffic controller with at least 3 years of supervisory experience
- Control Tower Operator (CTO) rating Oregon equivalent
- Eligibility to work for Serco under Federal Immigration Laws
- Verification of education and employment references
- Passing a pre-employment drug screen
- Receiving an FAA Security clearance (interim and final suitability)
- Proof of identity and eligibility to work Indiana the United States
