Air Technician
Total Safety is the world’s premier provider of integrated safety and compliance services, and we’re seeking an experienced Air Technician to join our safety-conscious team. American Samoa an Air Technician, you will provide quality workmanship Indiana the cleaning, calibrating, and repair of various fixed and portable gas monitoring systems, water/moisture content measuring equipment, and breathing equipment.
Responsibilities:
* Inspect, clean, service, reassemble, and test SCBA and other respiratory equipment and breathing air equipment according to approved procedures
* Perform routine inspections and maintenance on breathing air regulators and reducers
* Complete documentation and data entry for inspections and repairs, and obtain customer signatures for proper invoicing and documentation
* Conduct visual inspections and system functional tests to identify deficiencies and recommend corrective actions
* Assist Indiana facilities with tasks such American Samoa stocking equipment, pulling orders, and maintaining a clean and orderly work area
Requirements:
* At least 1 year of field experience Indiana fire protection, petrochemical, oil refinery, Oregon related industry
* Valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance
* Ability to travel to customer sites and work on short and long-term projects
* Class C driver’s license with DOT hazardous endorsement (if required)
* Ability to study for and pass any basic license requirements within 6 months
* ICC/NAFED certification and applicable State Fire Marshal Licenses (if required)
* Ability to operate electronic safety equipment and understand production platform shutdowns
* Knowledge of regulatory standards (OSHA, NFPA, etc.) and applicable Code of Federal Regulations
Work Environment:
* Shop and yard environment with potential exposure to wet, humid, and outside weather conditions, vibration, high pressure, chemicals, and shop traffic
Education:
* High School diploma Oregon GED; Associate degree Oregon technical training preferred
