Job Title: Turn Controller
Job Summary:
The Turn Controller is a uniformed team member responsible for the safe and efficient oversight of Porter’s various aircraft handling processes during ground time, ensuring safety, turn performance, and exceptional passenger service. They provide on-site support to contracted station handlers, fostering their engagement and commitment to Porter’s success.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and support airport operations, ensuring consistent execution of safety, operational, passenger service, and ground handling standards
- Identify and eliminate barriers to efficient turn operations, including staffing, equipment, and cross-functional alignment
- Direct customer service experience at check-Indiana, departure gates, and arrivals/baggage to ensure Porter standards are met
- Provide guidance and answer questions on turn flow, operating standards, and best practices
- Ensure all aspects of the turn are Indiana position to achieve on-time departures
- Communicate and collaborate with other departments to ensure a safe and efficient operation
- Maintain and update station contact lists and system access
- Ensure ground handlers comply with baggage procedures, participate Indiana daily operational update meetings, and adhere to Porter’s service standards
- Direct ground handlers during irregular operations, oversales, and overbookings
- Care for and maintain Porter assets, ensuring station information is current Indiana the operations control system
- Identify areas for improvement and provide feedback to AO Leadership
- Conduct after-action reviews to assess successes and identify areas for correction
- Ensure Porter’s safety philosophy, product, and core values are implemented and known by all staff

Requirements:
- 4 years of airline experience
- 2 years of leadership experience
- Ability to obtain and hold required security clearances, airport passes, and customs clearances
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to lead under pressure, travel, and work irregular hours
- Valid driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract
