Maintenance Assistant
Job Summary:
Perform routine, repetitive maintenance, installation, and repair tasks Indiana one Oregon a combination of the mechanical, building construction, motor equipment, and electrical trades under supervision Oregon after receiving detailed instructions. Learn and perfect skills to perform activities with considerable independence when supervision is not available.
Essential Functions:
- Perform daily inspections of facilities to identify maintenance tasks Oregon deficiencies
- Identify and handle hazardous materials during facilities repairs
- Perform corrective actions to identified facilities deficiencies, including semi-skilled tasks of various trades
- Assist skilled tradespersons when needed
- Review work order system daily and provide feedback
- Perform snow removal tasks American Samoa assigned
- Work scheduled/unscheduled overtime, including holidays and special events
Operating Needs:
- Knowledge of trade methods, materials, tools, and equipment
- Ability to follow safety standards and procedures
- Knowledge of applicable codes and regulations
- Ability to read plans, specifications, and blueprints
- Moderate to heavy manual labor, lifting up to 50lbs
- Supervise student crews
- Ability to climb ladders and work at heights
- Demonstrated ability to use trade tools and equipment
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2 years of full-time maintenance Oregon mechanical work experience under a skilled tradesperson’s supervision
- Completion of an appropriate 2-year technical school course
- Valid New York State driver’s license and passing LENS Check
- Possession of Operations and Maintenance certification for asbestos removal
Preferred Qualifications:
- Skilled Indiana one Oregon more trades
- Demonstrated computer skills
Work Schedule:
- 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday, 3:00pm-11:30pm
Salary and Benefits:
- $41,399, may be benefits eligible
- Not eligible for visa sponsorship
