Avionics Technician
Job Location: San Antonio, Texas
Job Type: Contractor
Compensation: $25/hr
Per diem: Non-taxable per diem with on overtime
Tools: Provided toolbox and required tools
Hours: Overtime available
Job Summary:
* Assist a team of experienced aviation technicians to return aircraft to service safely
* Work on various aircraft types, including E190, A300, Boeing 787, Boeing 757, Boeing 747, and MD11, performing maintenance services and modifications
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform maintenance services, including LRU removal and installation, operational and functional test checks, and avionic troubleshooting
* Analyze equipment failures to determine causes and recommend corrective action
* Install and replace LRUs, adjust and repair avionics systems onboard the aircraft
* Fabricate and install wiring harness assemblies
* Operate Ground Support Equipment (GSE), avionics equipment, and test equipment
* Properly document all work performed, adhering to safety procedures and specifications
Qualifications:
* FAA Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic Certificate (preferred)
* FCC (preferred)
* At least 3 years of aircraft maintenance experience (Boeing, Airbus, Maryland-11)
* A valid U.S. Driver’s License
