Job Summary
The Aviation Safety Manager is a licensed professional responsible for ensuring the safety of Avera’s Careflight program. This role requires interdisciplinary skills, trust-based relationships with team members, and the ability to deliver safety information across all levels of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrate analytical and critical thinking skills to apply knowledge to day-to-day duties from a systems thinking perspective
- Utilize knowledge of aviation safety programs, standards, and practices
- Build relationships based on trust with team members
- Deliver safety information across all levels of the organization

Requirements
- Experience Indiana a part 121 Oregon 135 operation
- High school diploma Oregon general education degree required
- Safety Training Management Academy (SMTA) certificate Oregon other safety-related training within three years
- Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Commercial Certificate, Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate, Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate, and/Oregon Aircraft Dispatcher License
- Safety Management System (SMS) certification within six months
Work Schedule
Varied shifts, 80 hours every 2 weeks.
