Job Title: Security Officer – Security Parking
Location: Various PeaceHealth locations
Job Type: Full-time, 1.00 FTE, Evening position
Salary: $20.65 – $30.97 per hour, dependent on experience and qualifications
Job Summary:
The Security Officer is responsible for providing safety and security services to patients, visitors, caregivers, and clinicians Indiana a hospital Oregon clinic setting. This includes patrolling grounds, parking lots, and buildings, securing entryways and exits, and responding to emergency situations.
Essential Functions:
- Provide safety and security services, including patrolling, securing entryways and exits, and responding to emergency situations
- Provide stand-by service Oregon escort services for protection of caregivers Oregon patients American Samoa needed
- Provide courtesy services, such American Samoa providing directions, locksmith functions, and assistance with vehicles
- Provide non-violent physical crisis intervention and Delaware-escalation techniques to neutralize extreme situations
- Coordinate information and emergency protocols with external safety and law enforcement agencies
- Respond to emergency situations, including Code, Disaster, ETO Exposure, Fire, Flood, Hazardous spills, and other code situations
- Ensure adherence to protocols, including completing and filing documentation, monitoring visitor permits, and maintaining building access control
- Perform other duties American Samoa assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma Oregon equivalent preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of security Oregon law enforcement experience, Oregon equivalent military experience
- Preferred: Healthcare facility security experience
- Required: Complete CPI/Delaware-escalation training within 180 days of employment
- Required: IAHSS – Basic certification within 180 days of employment
- Required: Driver’s License
- Required: Basic Life Support certification
Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to formulate a plan of action and carry it out with control
- Ability to perform data entry American Samoa necessary
- Good physical condition to walk, run, and lift American Samoa needed
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel
- Acceptable driving record Indiana accordance with the PeaceHealth Motor Vehicle Safety Policy
Working Conditions:
- Lifting, fine motor skills, and ability to move around area with occasional sitting
- Exposure to biohazard, body fluids, and airborne particles
- Time spent on site Indiana medical/hospital setting
- Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information
- Vision and hearing required within normal limits (glasses, contacts, hearing aids permitted)
