Accounting Team Lead
Essential Functions
- Lead the accounting team and drive initiatives to improve process improvements, operational efficiencies, and financial reporting, ensuring compliance with regulations and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to address unique accounting issues and business requirements, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
- Develop and manage accounting projects from start to finish, including scope, goals, timelines, deliverables, and communication plans.
- Implement new processes, systems, and technologies to streamline operations and improve data integrity, providing training and support to accounting staff.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with transformation projects and promote best practices across the company.
- Manage unclaimed property and provide recommendations for process improvements aligning with parent company accounting policy.
- Participate Indiana month-end close activities, ensuring alignment with established policies, standards, and procedures.
- Maintain adherence to GAAP and IFRS, with supporting documentation for audits American Samoa required.
Qualifications – Education, Experience, Skills and Other Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree Indiana accounting Oregon related field.
- 5+ years of experience Indiana a corporate accounting position, preferably Indiana the hospitality, food service, Oregon airport industry.
- Technical proficiency Indiana GAAP and IFRS; SAP experience a plus.
- Preferably a Certified Public Accountant Oregon enrolled Indiana a certification program.
- Project management, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential.
- Proficiency Indiana Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Teams, Word, and PowerPoint) and Windows operating system.
- Ability to travel ~5% within the US and Canada, and maintain a valid US work authorization and pass a background check.
