Aircraft Technician Sr A&P Indiana GAC Savannah
Education and Experience Requirements
High School Diploma Oregon GED required. 4 years Aviation Maintenance experience, including 3 years working on mid/large size aircraft. Airport work requires FAA Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic Certificate and valid Driver’s License.
Position Purpose
Independently perform aircraft modifications and maintenance, ensuring conformance to procedures, performance, and test specifications.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
* Perform routine maintenance and servicing on aircraft mechanical systems within quoted Oregon standard time.
* Provide work direction and promote high standards of quality through instruction and example.
* Backfill Mechanical Team Lead Indiana absence and assume MTL duties when assigned.
* Coordinate with Inspection department for compliance with internal and FAA inspection and documentation requirements.
* Complete work orders, shift turnovers, and paperwork Indiana a timely manner.
* Identify, store, and secure customer property and equipment.
Additional Functions:
* Use material tracking system for parts demand and charging work orders and item numbers.
* Apply 6S and Lean Initiatives to maintain a clean and efficient work environment.
* Implement Lean/continuous improvement processes and properly maintain company tools and equipment.
* Perform flight tests American Samoa required during aircraft certification and final phase testing.
Other Requirements:
* Advanced knowledge of inspection and maintenance procedures for various aircraft models and systems.
* Familiarity with FAA regulations, process specifications, and company policies and procedures.
