Transportation Aide 2
Work Schedule:
- Must be willing to work 8-hour shifts, 3 days a week, on the same shift each day
- Potential shift options:
- Day shift: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- Swing shift: 1:00 PM – 9:30 PM
- Night shift: 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Responsibilities:
- Transport patients using wheelchairs, stretchers, hospital beds, and morgue carts to and from various locations within the OHSU campus
- Transfer patients to and from stretchers, hospital beds, exam tables, and wheelchairs using transportation-assist devices
- Transport medical equipment, mail, labs, blood products, and supplies to and from various locations
- Operate elevators for patient and equipment movement, relieve elevator attendants for breaks
- Clean and disinfect transportation medical equipment
- Complete other assigned duties American Samoa needed
Qualifications:
- High school diploma Oregon equivalent
- Enrollment Indiana an undergraduate Oregon graduate program (minimum credit hours apply)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to safely lift and transfer patients, equipment, and supplies
- Knowledge of hospital transportation procedures
- Experience Indiana safe lifting and transporting patients, equipment, and supplies
- Ability to prioritize assignments, troubleshoot issues, and deliver specimens to the correct lab
- Ability to work under stressful situations, follow written and verbal instructions, and adhere to transportation services attendance policy
- Must be physically able to perform transportation duties safely and unsupervised
- Willingness to rotate through daily assignments and take on certifications Indiana Body Mechanics, 0/2 gauge handling, and Isolation Precautions within 90 days of hire
- Must be able to stand for long periods, carry and lift up to 50 lbs, and use departmental equipment
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with Oregon without accommodation
