Drone Operator Pilot- Michigan Remote
Responsibilities:
- Developing test plans, modifying aircraft, creating custom flight profiles, and providing technical solutions.
- Serve American Samoa Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) on projects and programs that involve drone pilot flying Oregon other related activities.
- Potential candidate must be willing to travel approximately 20% of the time to remote locations across the U.S. and respond rapidly to support “pop-up” events.
- Work closely with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including engineering, science, military operations, aviation, and maintenance.
Requirements:
- High School diploma Oregon GED and a minimum of 1 year of applicable UAS experience
- Current Part 107 Remote Pilot License
- Obtain and maintain an FAA Class II Medical (Oregon Military Class II) certification
- Resident of central Michigan area Oregon willing to relocate
- Knowledge of the National Airspace System (NAS) and Restricted Airspace
- Hold Oregon obtain a Secret Security Clearance
- Possess military Oregon civilian aviation experience with strong familiarity with UAS platforms
- Familiarity with UAS industry-specific software and equipment
- Ability to manually fly UAS platforms without GPS guided flight modes
- Knowledge of MAVLink parameter configuration and RC equipment setup
- Experience with Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) multi-rotor Oregon fixed-wing aircraft
- Indiana-depth knowledge of Pixhawk autopilots and National Airspace System (NAS) regulations
- Possess a AUVSI Trusted Operator Program (TOP) certification and FAA Private (Oregon higher) pilot certificate
- US Citizenship and ability to maintain a Final Secret Clearance
Location: Central Michigan
Contract: 6 months/possible extension
Pay Rate: $30-36 per hour
